Sharpen Your Serve With Tennis Class
By Ethan Ong

Sharpen your serve with tennis classes in Singapore. There are a few options you have and this article will discuss on these methods and how you will go about getting the tennis class for you. Read on and find out as much as you can.

Private. If you have the money then yes, you can go for private classes. These private classes will be quite costly because you are basically renting the services of either a tennis expert or a former national tennis player. They are mostly expatriates from other countries and some of them are actually Singaporean national tennis players. The rates are quite unpredictable, but from a recent check, the can range from $50 an hour to as high as $200 an hour. You are also expected to buy your own racket and your own apparel, and show up at a predetermined location. These private lessons can come in either two packages.

You either show up at a pre determined location and tennis court, or the trainer will come to your condo and train you at your tennis court. This can be quite difficult sometimes because it depends on booking and availability of courts. The more expensive services include joining a country club and getting a trainer there, which would negate the hassle of having to book a tennis court at all. Everything is at a one stop solution for you in the country club and you will probably be getting the tennis expert in house.

Public. You can also sigh up for public tennis lessons in various places. These include tennis clubs, community clubs and sports associations all over Singapore. You do not get the one to one treatment you desire, as sometimes you are in a group of 2 or more. The upside of this is that it is very, very cheap and anyone can afford it. You still have to buy your own racket, but balls will be provided. As for the training, the trainers are definitely qualified, but you might not be guaranteed the calibre of some of the more private trainers around. If you are looking to casually improve your skills and have a good time, then this is the option for you.

You can find these classes at any of the above mentioned locations or you can also do a search online. The downside to this is that there is a set schedule and if you cannot make it, then there is nothing that you can do about it. The training sessions can also be quite erratic and sometimes cancellation is a big issue, but so far, the people involved in these tennis classes have no real complaints.

It really depends on how serious you take your tennis and how much you want to improve. Of course, how much you are willing to spend also factors into it a bit. Once you can decide on these things, then you will be able to choose tennis classes that best suit your needs.
