People usually think that once they created a Squidoo lens, they would already get the traffic that they wanted. False! That is not the case. You need to of course do some effort so that you can drive more traffic.

Here are some Squidoo traffic tips for you.

1. Prefer using long tail keywords in your Squidoo lens. Actually, this applies most of the time to SEO. Rather than using the most used and popular keywords, you can use the cheaper and less sought after long tail keywords. This does not mean that you will get fewer visitors. This means that you will be getting targeted visitors if you have longer keywords. The reason for this is the keywords tend to be more specific.

2. If you want traffic to your site, join Squidoo groups. This is the most ignored tactic but this is really working great. Once you are within the group of people who have the same interest, most likely these people are the one who will read your lenses. Their networks will also help you generate more traffic to your own Squidoo lens. But make sure also that you have informative content so that you will get these people check out your lens.

3. Make use of RSS feed to your Squidoo lens. If you have a lot of lenses to maintain, then you can make use of the RSS feed. This will automatically update your lenses.
