How To Find A Good Keyword Quickly

By Johnathan Calvert

So you are looking to run a PPC campaign or write an article to promote your website or affiliate product? The most important aspect of any successful promotion is how to find a good keyword relevant to your niche or website.

So how do you find a good keyword?

The best places to look and research are the free keyword Internet tools available to everyone on the Internet. I generally use Google's own or Wordtracker (free version)

These tools are quick and very easy to use. Using them properly will generate plenty of ideas to help you find a good keyword quickly.

Generally, the best keywords are the keywords without or with very little competition. When you type in your preferred keyword into Google, put it in "" first as this shows the optimized results - the words exactly as they appear on Google's listings. If you find the results below 5000 searches then this is a promising keyword you could consider using. Also look at the right hand side of the page to see who and how many Google adverts there are. Study these and they will give you a valuable clue if money is being made on the keyword. Too many adverts probably means too much competition for the keyword and it may be better to look for another one.

When looking at how to find a good keyword, especially if you are promoting your products through article marketing, make sure that you get the keyword density in the article right. The best keyword density is about 1-2%. This should ensure that your article finds it's way to the top of the Google page listings.

What does all this mean then?

Lots of free advertising for a start and hopefully lots of targeted traffic to your website. The advantage of highly targeted traffic is more sales. If the readers of your article like what they read and click your link there is a greater chance they will buy form you as they are already 'warmed' up!

Johnathan Calvert successfully uses article marketing to promote his online business and has found that this method generates targeted traffic that converts very well into sales.
