The creative directors at Vuitton named this bag after Axel Fersen who was a Swedish soldier and diplomat in the late 1700's. Fersen met Marie Antoinette (who later became Queen of France) at a masked ball in Paris and the two formed a lasting bond. This grandiose bag would undoubtedly have been seen on the shoulder of royalty in the 18th century had it existed then. Designed to emulate a romantic era, you will be amazed at the exquisite attention to detail and extensive hand-sewn lace accents.
