Bracelets,generallymadeinpairs,were an invariableconsituentof the"parure" or"suite"formuchofthefirstthree decadesofthe19thcentury,wornoneach arm,eventwoorthreeparisatthesame time, throughoutthisperiod.Thisextravagant pair,wouldonlyhavebeenwornto"balls" or officialceremonies,and were designed to beworn "abovethegloves" oneacharm ascuffs orassembledtogetheras a "collierdechien" choker. The elements composed of repousse scrolls, volutes, and flower motifs stamped out and then assembled by hand. The delicacy and workmanship is beyond words. Over 20 grams per bracelet. Hallmarks: Belier 1819 to 1838 Paris. Condition is excellent with the exception of one small piece missing from one of the bracelets that we show in the pictures provided. | |
