1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS

Vehicle Description

Real 1970 1/2 RS split bumper camaro. Nice car.

This RS began its life in Van Nuys, California and as I have been told, lived its whole life in California. It is rust free and in very good condition. It is very pretty as you can see. I will go through everything on it and rate it on a 1-10 scale as I see it.

Engine,10: The factory turbofire 350 hi-po runs perfect. It has 6,000 miles on the rebuild. 10:1 pistons, bowtie spec heads, and large cam. It has a fresh Holley 650 cfm double pumper 4150 series, model 4777-7. Weiand X-pert Alumnium high rise intake. MSD distributor, MSD 8.5mm wires. It has a new flowmaster dual exhaust on it. It sounds great, runs great, and has plenty of power. Plenty of rumble and no problems.

Transmission,9: It has the factory turbo 400 in it. 1,600 miles on rebuild with very nice shift kit. It has a nice B&M shifter and cable. The car runs very smooth in any gear and does exactly what you want it to. The reason why I do not have this section as a 10 is because it has a factory stall in it. It has a lot of cam and a stock rearend, so a bigger stall would be a plus. Very good, and very nice.

Body,9: The body lines are immacculate. Absolutely no waves, no dents, no dings. It is very clean. It has a six inch cowl hood that needs to be adjusted 1/8th of an inch. And it needs a new key roller for the trunk. Latch is great, just needs a new tumbler. Crack in grill. Hard to see. The body is incredibly straight. It looks good in pics, but wait 'til you see how good it looks up close and in light.

Interior,8.5-9: Most of the interior is completely new. Upholstery, carpet, headliner, rear window pad, rear door panels. All is beautiful. Look at the pics. Front door panels are original and nice. Passenger side needs 2 clips. Has original, beautiful wood grain RS dash. The only real flaw in the interior is the dash pad cover. Sitting in the hot sun has caused it to pull back, it is not cracked, but just shrunk and pulled back. The rest of the dash is immaculate, glove box, etc.etc. Could use new weather stripping on passenger side. Not horrible, but to be perfect it would need it. The interior is absolutely gorgeous.

Paint,7-8: It is a good paint job with 3 chips total. No overspray and very pretty. One chip on door jam( small), one above handle (very fine line), and one on the nose of the car, about 1/32 inch x 1/2 inch. It looks as good as it does in pics. Who doesn't like a screamin' red camaro? Very nice sheen, and attention grabber.

Trunk and underneath,9.5: No rust, very clean.
