…if you are a regular and massive water drinker like me. I carry water around with me all day and drink easily a gallon per day, so I figured that investing in a BPA-Free container makes a lot of sense in the long run.

Also the construction and materials of these bottles is top-notch. Very sturdy, and the plastic they use for the lid is both visually and tactilely pleasant. Where the lid screws onto the bottle, it seems to be slightly softer so it’s quite leakproof and you don’t have to twist it super tight for it to prevent leakage like you do with some cheaper bottles.

The shape is perfect for fitting into the mesh water-bottle side pockets of my backpacks, a SwissGear laptop pack and a Jansport daypack. One liter ties me over for a good 2-3 hours. I use one of these bottles for water, and another one for Gatorade whenever I go to the gym.

The plastic loop in the lid is great for carrying with one finger or clipping onto a strap on your backpack; it also helps you twist to open the lid. Pretty smart design!

Overall, this is one product that DOES live up to the “You get what you pay for” cliche.

    * CLEANING TIP: All you need to do is clean with hot water and add a drop or two of bleach to it, then rinse. I only have to do that maybe once every 2-3 weeks, and I use my bottle every day just about. Most of the time just a simple rinse in warm water will do, but the odor develops over time due to growth of the bacteria in the backwash that happens every time you drink from it—if you pour the water out of the bottle into a glass instead of drinking directly from the bottle, I’d imagine you wouldn’t have any odor issues.

Nice job Camelbak! Great packaging. Camelbak wraps each bottle in a clear plastic protective sheet that both protects the product and eliminates problems with those annoying sticky product labels that are often so difficult to remove. The best part of the bottles are the lids. Just stick your index finger into the hole that also serves as a carabineer hook and spin the lid on and off. Best lid that I have ever used. Really easy and fast to open and close. The one liter bottle is too tall for my dishwasher top rack which is where Camelbak says the bottle must be placed. Buy these bottles for the nifty lids. Oh… and no BPA!

This bottle is what you would expect; holds enough water for a day at the office or a light day on the trails. It’s a bit too big for car cupholders, which was not unexpected but a shame nonetheless. If you are looking for a BPA free bottle this is a great, cheaper option.

I bought this bottle to replace a Nalgene bottle which was not BPA-free. I purchased the 0.5 liter bottle with classic cap and I take it to work every day. It fits in my lunch bag as well as the cup holder in my car and I have not experienced any leaks. I’ve been using this bottle for about a month now and I’ve been pleased with it so far.

I love this water bottle and got one for everybody for Christmas. I drink water out of it all day then go to the gym and mix my protein shake in it. It definitley gets used every day and I can rest at ease that I am not consuming dreaded BPA and pthalates.
