Question by zucchinisyoucantkeepagoodonedown: What about these new “whole body scanners” in airports?
They create images which show clothed people as though they were naked: http://www.boston.com/news/globe/ideas/brainiac/airport_xray_scanner.jpg
The promotors claim the images can’t be stored or posted on the net, but what’s to stop ppl taking photos with their camera phones? These could then be digitally altered.
What are the privacy implications of these scanners?
Would you be happy to have your children scanned publicly in this way?

OMG, I randomly was selected to go through one of those one time. I had no idea that was what they showed. Ick. I certainly hope they keep them private and hopefully destroy the images!
