Question by donna: Can I use “Tropical sea salt” to clean my nose piercing?
I asked my dad to get some sea salt so i could clean my nose piercing and he came back with “Tropical Sea salt”. Is that the same thing as normal sea salt? He got it from a health store.
My piercer told me to make a soak with the sea salt. I was told not to use peroxide because it dries the skin during the cleaning process.

Tropical Sea Salt is just a more expensive name for sea salt, which in turn is just a more expensive version of normal table salt. Why you are cleaning your piercing with salt, I have no clue, you should be using isopropyl or hydrogen peroxide.

I am anti-salt. I don’t like it. I leave it out of everything….until I tried this salt! I absolutley love it….on everything! I Don’t mind paying the high price. It last a long time, and is better for you than normal cheap table salt. You get what you pay for!

After receiving the salt, I honestly believe it is overpriced for what you are getting. I didn’t think it was the “best” out there, although it gets rave reviews and is supposed to be very good for you. I believe it is overpriced due to the marketing and overly-enticing packaging! I probably won’t order it again. Not worth the money, the flavor is nothing unique.

I very much like Celtic salt, but I did not want the coarse grained. I ordered the fine grained salt and received coarse grained salt. I contacted the seller to no avail. I gave it a 2 star, because celtic salt is great, but I wouldn’t buy from this seller again.
