Pushchair was the popularly used term in the UK between its invention and the early 1980s, when a more compact design known as a buggy became the trend, popularized by the conveniently collapsible aluminum framed Maclaren buggy designed and patented by the British aeronautical designer Owen Maclaren in 1965.

Cute, fun and paints a nice picture.i can see you doing this too. 3 miles, you go the wife of a friend of mine had given birth to twins. He was a happy father until realization dawned on him that he will have to carry them around and indulge in playful activities. He asked me to advise him on how to go about it. The other day I had come across a website selling strollers for kids.

The sight offered information on different types of strollers such as single seat strollers, double umbrella strollers, and triple strollers.I quickly told him about the site and advised him to buy double umbrella strollers that will help him push his twins around in the same stroller. Plus it will also have umbrellas mounted on its top to protect kids from inclement weather, sun rays, and other elements.

Acting on my advice, my friend purchased a double umbrella stroller for his twins. He called me the other day, thanking me for the advice and how life has become much easier for him.Double umbrella strollers are a great boon for parents having to raise twins.

Can’t beat it for a double stroller, April 13, 2009

    Ephay “Ephay” (Denver, CO) –

When I was pregnant with my twins, I got a double travel system from Graco. It included the Graco Duo Glider MONSTROSITY. The thing was so big that it ate over half of the cargo space in the back of my van. It was heavy, but really easy to use as long as you didn’t use the infant carriers with it. It felt like the front kid was SO far away from you.

I don’t remember where I learned about the Combi Twin, but I tell ya…I couldn’t craigslist the Graco fast enough once I had!

    The good points:
    *Small & compact
    *Carrying strap
    *Light
*Easy to fold (my husband can even do it)
*Fits through doors (sometimes takes a little manuvering as the wheels have to be straight, not at an angle or you won’t make it)
    *Independent reclining seats
    *3 child cup-holders

    The bad points:
    *TINY storage baskets
*Sometimes a pain to lock once folded because the clasp gets tangled in basket fabric
    *Tiny sunshades
    *NO adult cup-holders

Despite the “bad” points, as all you mom’s will know, you can remedy all of them:
For the tiny storage baskets, I have little hooks on the parent handle that I can hang shopping bags or my purse on.

The clasp getting caught in the basket fabric is cured with preventative measures. I lean down & turn the clasp out before folding.

For the Tiny sunshades, I just bought the kiddopotomus sunshade (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265552&CAWELAID=107511554).

The lack of a parent cup-holder is the biggest challenge. I use the Skip Hop Double Duo diaperbag because it will clip onto the back of the stroller. I use one of the front pockets or one of the side-sippy cup pockets of the diaper bag for holding my beverage.

All in all, I love this stroller. My g/f who had twins a year behind me visited recently & was insanely jealous of mine (she also has the Graco). I’d recommend it despite any “set-backs”!!

    Great Buy!, February 27, 2008

    E. H. (Seattle, WA) –

As a mom of two young boys (2 1.2, and 4 weeks) this has been a great practical purchase. My youngest can sit in his carseat and be on one side and my 2 year old is comfortable on the other. It is not hard to manuver and fits through all doorways I have come across so far. It fits nicely into the trunk of my dodge neon. It’s very lightweight and easily folds up. The only thing that has bothered me is the baskets, they are very small.

Love it but little storage, April 9, 2009

I love this stroller, but there are only two downsides I’ve found:

1.) STORAGE. The basket below is very small, and if my purse is full of kids’ stuff (diapers, sippy cups, etc.), then I can’t fit it down there. Granted I have a large purse, but most people with little kids carry either a large purse or a diaper bag. I wouldn’t mind so much if I was able to hang my purse on the handlebars, but since it’s got the one bar handle, you can’t hang it. You can purchase those little stroller hooks to hang things from, so I think that’s what I’ll do.

2.) OFF-ROADING. It’s pretty difficult to push over grass or rough terrain, but that’s pretty common among strollers.

What I love most about it is:

1.) HANDLEBAR. I really do love the fact that it has the one handlebar across because it’s better for one-handed pushing. If I get a call or am holding a drink I can still push it with both kids in (and they weigh almost 65 pounds together). Also, I have big boys (38 lbs and 25 lbs), and it fits them great.

2.) KIDS’ CUP HOLDERS. They love the cup holders, too. There are three for them, so we can put their cups in there plus a snack.

3.) DESIGN. I think it’s very cute, too. I love the orange. I was afraid it would be too feminine for my boys, but it’s very neutral.

4.) FOLDING UP. It folds up VERY easily. I was very surprised. It also folds out with just one motion. I love that. I also like that it stands up when it’s folded, and it has a strap so that you can carry it easily. That’s good for going through an airport.

5.) WIDTH. Another think I was amazed about is the width. I was so surprised that it even fits through the bedroom doors at my house. I’ve never had trouble navigating it through places, even crowded boutiques. The turn radius is also really small, so it makes it even easier to navigate.

I love this stroller and highly recommend it as long as you purchase a separate cup holder and purse hook to attach to the push bar.
