okay, so i got my iphone 3g 16gb 2 days ago in the mail. yesterday, while i was on the deck of my pool, i grabbed my towel and the iphone went flying into the pool. i quickly dived into the water and grabbed it. it stayed in the water for no more than about 8-10 seconds(i dont know if this matters but it hit the floor which was 4ft deep so there was pressure involved). i shook out all the water and white and black bars took over the screen. it showed a message: “this accessory is not made to work with iphone” or something like that. i would imagine they meant the water by the “accessory”. anyways, i took out the sim tray and everything and tried to turn it on. it didnt work. i went online for instructions and tried the rice thing. i went to lowe’s and bought DampRid and put the phone in a bag of it for about 10 hours overnight. i also have no patience so i took it out today and tried to turn it on (i know im not suppoesed to but i couldnt help it) i put it in the charger and it turned on. i was surprised and happy. but it went into the on and off cycle i read about. what do i do now?! by the way, i dont want to take it apart because anytime i take an electronic apart, it ends up not working. oh yea and the water sensor was half pink(or red) and have white.

You could try leaving it alone and drying it out a bit longer (battery out, SIM card out, any memory card out). If that fails, then sorry, but unless it was insured for this sort of accident it is going to cost you money.

Fits well, installs easily, etc… A great product. HOWEVER, pool filters do NOT need to be replaced every week!! A standard cartridge filter can last for 6 months, or more if maintined properly. Usually, when servicing a filter, you can take a nozzle on your hose, and thoroughly hose off the filter pleats (all of them!), and reuse the cartridge. If it’s a little grody, use a bit of chlorine bleach to clean it up.

Every year we set up a pool, and every year the local ‘big box store’ lets these run out of stock toward the end of the season to clear out their inventory. We keep our pool running until after Labor Day so we ‘got to have them’. Reasonable quality, reasonable shipping costs and time, make these a good deal for us.

We love our intex pool and while they tell you its fine to rinse and reuse the filter for a time or two…I do not recommend that. They never really get clean and work like brand new. For the price on Amazon and the fast shipping buy enough and never have to worry for the summer. I change mine weekly to maintaina sparkly pool its easy, they came packaged great and If I knew this easy to put up pool (I did get the pool very cheap at walmart though… easy as a snap to do..you just need two people)I would have bought one years ago.

We go through a filter every 10 days to 2 weeks, so the 10 I ordered should last us almost the entire pool season. Product quality is good and price is right as our local stores sell the same filter for almost double this price.

I can’t rate this item as a toy, but I can rate it as the function it does, it is necessary to maintain your pool clean. I do not recommend to use your pool without the filter, bleach is not enough.
