I bought this as a gift for my 8 yr. old nephew and he absolutly loves it. I had seen a Mongoose bike for sale at Wal Mart for around $60.00, but you could instantly see the quality difference between this one and the cheaper bike. The price, $119.00 with free shipping was an excellant deal.

I have to admit, the bike is pretty strong but not exactly strong enough to go on huge dirt jumps or something. The bike is super heavy, around like 35 pounds. Most proper bmx bikes are around 20-27 pounds, with 20 being really good. If you just use this bike for cruising around, then it’s a pretty good deal. However, if you are looking into doing tricks and going into serious bmxing I definetley do not reccomend this. The bike is actually pretty cheap though. Again, if you want to go into serious bmxing i reccomend something like an eastern, kink , etc.

All of my other son (12yro) friends from his school want to ride Dylan’s new bike. The 6th graders want one just like this Mongoose. Easy to assemble and sturdy quality. My kids use their bikes on ramps and in the woods. This bike still looks brand new after a month of rough use. I recommend this bike for its cool looks, popular brank with the middle school crowd and can take rough use by the whole group of friends.

I ordered this bike for my son. It got here in 2 days. Easy to assemble. I had to call customer service for a quick question. I got a live person right away! So far so good with the bike. Lets hope it stands up this summer.

Bought this bike for my son (9) for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. I took it to a bike shop and paid them $45 to put it together for me which saved a lot of trouble so I don’t know how easy it is to put together. My son said the bike rides great and handles well. The bike seems to be a good weight for a kid who rides it around the block with his friends and doesn’t do any major tricks or anything.

We bought this bike for our 11 year old son, even though the box states from 6-11 years old. I think it would be a bit large for a 6 year old. This bike seems to be more appropriate for 9-15 year olds. The bike has a great graphic design on the middle section. It can hold 200 pounds. I think this is a great buy for a preteen and teenagers. It also had the extra bars for the ride-ons.

My 11 year old grandson loves his new bike. Shipping was excellant and arrived undamaged. He said he can do new tricks on it. Now this boy is an ice hockey player so he isn’t going to be gentle so I would say this is a rugged bike.

My son (11 years old) LOVES this bike. I like the style but the manual sucks! It is not written in a manner that makes it clear which model it is referring to when detailing the various setups. I had a hard time figuring out the correct configuration for increasing the tension for the rear brakes….. my son eventually wrapped the line and used one of my hair bands to hold it to the handlebars to decrease the slack allowing enough tension for the rear brake to pull! I refuse to take this bike to the shop to pay upward of $100 for a $120 bike!
