Organic Slug Snail Control – The Amazing Secret Solutions to Get Rid of Them Easily!
By Melissa McKyler

Snails and slugs are the worst enemies a gardener can have. Fortunately, organic slug snail control that will keep the plants from these creatures without doing any more harm to them has been developed.

Looks could be deceiving, so they say. Slugs and snails may seem harmless but they are actually the biggest threats to plants. They feed on plants, basically on the leaves and flowers, by chewing through smoothed edged holes. They can slow down the growth of plants or worse, kill them, when they attach themselves in. They can also attack the fruits and barks of plants but mostly they favor the juicy foliage and the flowers. Fruits that grow near the ground such as strawberries and tomatoes are also susceptible to these pests. Nothing is safe for as long as it is within the reach of these snails and slugs.

To track these slugs for the purposes of organic snail slug control, you just have to spot the silvery mucous trail they release when moving. This signals that your plants have been dealt with.

Knowing what to look for, let us now proceed to techniques of organic snail slug control. There are different ways that you can deal with snails and slugs. One is by using organic gardening sprays. In making one you may use ingredients such as soap, salt, garlic and tobacco, to name a few. The spray will serve as repellent for the plants thus ridding them of the pests.

You can also put justice into your hands, just pick the pests off the plants and sprinkle them with salt – this will surely kill them. It may sound brutal but that is one of the easiest ways to deal with snails and slugs.

Another way of organic snail slug control is the use of mulch made from oak leaves and wood shavings. This creates a similar result to putting borders of ash, sand or lime around

your plants for it prevents the pest from getting through them.

If the previous techniques do not work for you, try one of these traps. If you are generous enough to share, make a trap out of a can of beer. Surely you can spare one for the sake of your plants. Just pour some in saucers and place them around the garden, this will surely lure them in. Or you can place old card boards on the ground near the garden. The snails and slugs will definitely gather towards the board because they love shady places. Move the board as far away as possible from the plants once you have trapped them in.

It is up to you as to which of these methods you want to use. The most important thing is to do away with pesticides or chemicals that, although may help eliminate these pests easily, could also infect the plants in the process.
