Great travel cage,
I purchased this travel cage for my parrot (about 13″ long) and it was just the right size for her. I was very pleased considering the price. Also it has a nice large perch. She doesn’t mind it at all and goes right in!

Although Prevue Pet Products Travel Cage comes with easy-to-follow steps to assemble instructions with graphic pictures, this cage is one of the simplest to put together. In the box, the cage is already attached. Just lift the top–the top and bottom are already attached to two sides, and then hook the remaining two sides. That’s it.
The space between the perch and bottom is about 5 inches. Ideal for a medium-ish parrot. The space between the perch and top is about 7 inches. There’s really no adjusting the perch. For my Senegal, the spacing is perfect. Although my Eclectus parrot fits, his head is too close to the top for even short-term traveling. Not all parrots have a fear of the cage top being so close to their head, but mine does.
With the bar spacing at 3/4 of an inch, I’m not sure this would be ideal for small parrots. The cage comes with two stainless steel dishes that lock in. Good for parrots who like to remove dishes. Also the screws for the dishes are on the outside. My Senegal loves to remove bowls, nuts and bolts, etc., so this is a plus for me.
Last, the bottom tray locks in so that it won’t slide out during travel. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of the cage, the way the cage locks, and the thick perch which is about an inch in diameter.
