Question by Jim J: Is there anything dangerous about looking at the projected dot of a green laser?
Not looking directly at the beam — only at the resulting dot that is projected on a surface. This is a green laser.

Just asking cause I got this star laser light that is fantastic to look at the projected rays but didn’t know if it was harmful to do that for a long time.

It all depends on how much power is reflected into the eye.

Probably safe.

I am giving this 4 stars as of today, because i just received it and cannot vouch for it’s long term performance. But if it is still working next year, I’ll be giving it 10 stars. I took it out into my back yard and it lit up the entire back yard from grass to trees. it is amazingly powerful and really must be seen to be believed. Inside, it can be audio activated and fills the room with light. bottom line: at this price point, assuming it lasts for awhile, you can’t go wrong.

Like the previous reviewer my laser works great. Longevity is unknown. The enclosed tripod mount shaft broke after few twists and turns trying to position the unit – not really a big deal to me. Sound triggered patterns work, but you need more than light volume.

I just received this laser the other day. I am a Wedding DJ and needed something a little extra with my lighting set up. This can go neck and neck with most of the $300 lasers. Only thing that I am not a big fan of is the speed. It is very fast although it does have a knob to control speed its very hard to get it in the right spot. Overall great item huge coverage and very bright. If this keeps working for a good period of time I will be thrilled!

I’m a part-time DJ and we wanted to supplement our lighting with something that covered a large area but wasn’t extremely bright. This fit the bill great! I wish I could get it to run a little slower but for the price I can’t complain.
