SHOW YOUR ID ARIZONA

I’m a legal American citizen and I must show my ID when:

1. Pulled over by the police.
2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.
3. When I show up for a doctor’s appointment.
4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.
5. When applying for or renewing a driver’s license or passport.
6. When applying for any kind of insurance.
7. When filling out college applications.
8. When donating blood.
9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs.
10. When making some debit purchases, especially if I’m out of state.
11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.

I’m sure there are more instances, but the point is that we citizens of the USA are required to prove who we are nearly every day!
Why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!!
Why shouldn’t we guard our borders as closely as every other country in the world does?

Go ARIZONA !!!

Question by Wait Until You See The Prize!: Should I create a big stink the next time someone asks for my ID?
Nothing wrong with showing ID..

For 50 years if I am stopped I show ID.

I show ID to buy cigarettes.

I show ID to buy alcohol.

I show ID to get in to a club. No ID, no admittance. Its the LAW.

You show your ID when opening a bank account.

You show your ID when applying for a job.

You show ID to the realtor, she makes a copy of your ID and then takes you home shopping. (this is for the safety of the realtor)

You show ID every time you fill out a credit app.

You show ID to buy a phone.

You show ID to change your account.

You show ID to deposit your paycheck.

Your whole life is showing your ID. Arizona is doing nothing that we don’t do everyday of our lives.

The Arizona law makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. without proper documentation. The state has an estimated 460,000 residents living there illegally, the seventh highest total in the country, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security

To show ID?
Not show ID?
Anthony , It is a law so it is by force.
In Arizona they are using a federal law as a state law.

What do you think they will do? Hold people down and force them to show ID? No, they will ask just like the club does and the store does and the Dr’s office does.
JetsUnderPats 14-31, Age doesn’t matter. It is a LAW to show ID when purchasing certain products. The clerk can and have been arrested for not asking for ID.
You like to resort to name calling don’t you? I never lie. About anything.
I am an adult and I respect the truth.
Try it. It is easy.
G, I am a woman. I used to get stopped for no reason all the time. Ask any nice looking woman if she gets pulled over for small reasons.

I had one tell me he thought my tags were expired. They were not. It was an excuse to meet me.

The last time was 5 years ago and the cop saw 2 women in a car so he stopped us to get a better look. Said a tail light was out. It was working.

None of those are done by force. You personally agree to do it, except in the case where you got pulled over, in which you broke the law and identification is necessary for a possible citation.
