hahaha, never thought of that.. but i do think its ugly!
I think they are butt-ugly!
What is the point in having a beautiful plant if you are going to stick something that bi and ugly in with it?
The were looking for a way to make it work, but they also had to make it look nice. So those don’t really go hand and hand.
You know it, needed a certain design for it to work (at the bottom). But yes it does look weird.
I never thought about the aqua globes looking strange until you mentioned it! I always thought they were pretty. But then, I like pretty glass and the jewel tones of the globes, so I guess that’s what appealed to me. I like to “dress” my potted plants with a little pick or a tiny wind chime, or a little china animal perched on the edge, etc.
Even if you didn’t like the looks of the globes, it might be a good idea to use them if you’re on vacation, or if you like plants but don’t like to fuss with them. Here’s a modern Chinese proverb I just made up:
Green plant with butt-ugly globe better than brown plant in pretty pot.
never thought about it till now

i bought this for a 7 year-old very interested in maps, geography, and countries outside of the US. She was not at all disappointed. It was a good quality product, with some 3 dimensional features, vivid colors, clear markings, and was a good price. It was packed well and arrived in perfect condition. I would recommend it for children of that age and perhaps a little older as her parents and I think she will be able to refer to it as she progresses past 2nd grade.

This was a case when the globe did not get shipped in a timely manner. But when I contacted the vendor they bent over backwards to make it right and they special shipped a globe to me in two days so my son got it in time for his birthday.
We all make mistakes. It is the mark of a truly customer oriented vendor to go the extra distance and make it right.
Thanks!!!
Also my son loves the globe. He wanted a globe he could put pins into for the places he has traveled. This globe is perfect for that.

I purchased this for our five-year-old before a trip to Latin America so she could get an idea where we were going. She has used it, not only for that but also to look up places she’s seen in the news, at school, to find relatives, and etc. It’s been a lot of fun. My only surprise with this was that the base is plastic. I’d think for the price it would have a better base.

The globe was as described and very useful. The only problem I have is with the price. I recently saw a similar globe at Kmart that was $10 cheaper! Oh well…
